Reasons Why You Need to Add My Most Anticipated 2025 Book Releases to Your TBR
A guide to my most anticipate 2025 book releases I can't wait to read in the upcoming year
Prologue
Since last month, I have been taking the time to highlight various books that will be coming out in 2025 and why you should be adding them to your TBR.
Now, mere weeks away from the start of a new year, it’s time to pull out the big finale to highlight my most anticipated book releases coming out in 2025. I’ll still have my monthly update with the latest books coming out, but this list captures the titles I’m absolutely excited for in the upcoming year.
My Most Anticipated 2025 Book Releases
Young Adult
The Last Bookstore on Earth by Lily Braun-Arnold
Genre: Sci-Fi Romance
Release Date: 1/7/2025
You’ll see me talk more about this book on my January 2025 releases post, but overall it sounds like a really cool book and I can see this getting big in online bookish spaces when it comes out.
All the Noise at Once by DeAndra Davis
Genre: Contemporary
Release Date: 4/15/2025
If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I love supporting autistic stories by #ActuallyAutistic authors and 9 times out of 10 will immediately add their book to my TBR. Add to that being one of the few stories out on the market that features a black, autistic protagonist that is written by a black, autistic author as well as the story’s themes on brotherhood and social justice, this is just something I can’t help but want to read.
One of the Boys by Victoria Zeller
Genre: Contemporary
Release Date: 5/13/2025
This wasn’t initially on my radar until a couple of months ago when I found it on NetGalley, but I’m really excited for this book. I don’t think there’s a whole lot of stories like it currently out on the market and I think the overall plot concept for the book sounds really cool.
Love at Full Tilt by Jenny L. Howe
Genre: Romance
Release Date: 7/22/2025
Remember when I participated in the cover reveal for this book last month? You do? Cool, now let me tell you why I’m so excited for this book to come out next July.
Jenny L. Howe is one of my favorite authors and I absolutely cannot wait for her YA debut to come out into the world next July. Not only do we have a plus-size girl as the star of the show, we also get once-in-a-lifetime scavenger hunts in theme parks while also getting the attention of the cute guy she’s competing against. How does that not sound like a good time while reading a book?
The Good Vampire’s Guide to Blood & Boyfriends by Jamie D’Amato
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Release Date: 8/26/2025
Going back to the fact that any books written by #ActuallyAutistic authors will automatically be put on my TBR (for the most part), that is one of the many reasons why I can’t wait to get my hands on Jamie D’Amato’s debut novel. The book description sounds like it will be an absolute romp and I’m interested in seeing how D’Amato pulls off creating a paranormal rom-com inspired by Heartstopper.
Adult
Emily Wilde’s Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett
Genre: Historical Fantasy
Release Date: 2/11/2025
Starting off with a series continuation, I can’t wait to pick up this book after the way that Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands. Obviously because of spoilers from the previous two books in the series I’m not going to go much into the book blurb. However, I’m looking forward to really seeing the relationship between Emily and Wendell in this book as well as getting more of a look of the faerie realm that Wendell came from.
Homegrown Magic by Rebecca Podos & Jamie Pacton
Genre: Romantasy
Release Date: 3/11/2025
When I stumbled across this book during one of my NetGalley scrolls, I knew I had to read this. From the gorgeous cover to the innate cozy vibes this book radiates, this sounds like a book that I will absolutely love.
Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez
Genre: Romance
Release Date: 4/1/2025
Like a lot of romance readers, I love Abby Jimenez’s books. Starting off with Part of Your World on audio, I have been making my way through Jimenez’s Part of Your World series and I do want to read her other book series, The Friend Zone, at some point.
But back to why Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez is one of my most anticipated book releases for 2025. This book screams “right person, wrong time” and the blurb makes it sound like this book will live up to all the angst and swoon it promises as a woman dealing with her family crisis tries to forget about the man she had the best date of her life with.
Accomplice to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer
Genre: Romantasy
Release Date: 8/5/2025
Probably my go-to book recommendation whenever someone asks me for book series to read, the third installment of the Assistant to the Villain series will be releasing this August. While there’s no word on what the book will be about, let me tell you that I know Accomplice to the Villain will still have the same hijinks, adventures, and swoon-worthy romance Maehrer created in the first two books of the series.
Well, Actually by Mazey Eddings
Genre: Romance
Release Date: 8/5/2025
Fun fact: I was a member of two cover reveal teams this year, and Well, Actually was the other book I helped reveal the cover for.
I’ve seen people compared this book to that photo of Amelia Dimoldenberg and Andrew Garfield on Chicken Shop Date, and that’s honestly a fair comparison despite the fact that I’ve seen the infamous Chicken Shop Date other than a couple clips of it here and there.1
And if that’s not much to convince you to pick up the book, how about the fact that this book has:
Second chance romance from an ex-situationship
Forced proximity in the form of “dates” in order to advance both of their careers
He’s OBSESSED with her
Have I proven my case for this book to you yet?
Epilogue

Plus, I’m pretty sure Mazey herself has said that the FMC for Well, Actually is inspired by Dimoldenberg
Whoop! Whoop! What we didn't already have I tagged as a recommendation from you for our "Eligible in 2025" shelf on Goodreads. Thanks as always, Rachael.
